Extreme Heat and Drought Decimating U.S. Crop Yields
Kelly Garrett, farmer and founder of online farming community XtremeAG, joined Cheddar to discuss the effects of ongoing extreme heat conditions on American agriculture. Garrett pointed out that his location in western Iowa is currently 7 inches behind the 10-year-average of rainfall, and that drought conditions in North and South Dakota have "decimated" crops. He also addressed how climate change impacts farming now and going forward.
