High Cost of U.S. Healthcare Due to Pricing Failures, Says Johns Hopkins Surgeon

Healthcare is one of the largest industries in the U.S., and it's widely viewed to be a broken system. Dr. Marty Makary, author of "The Price We Pay" and surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital, said that the cost per capita has ballooned so much, in part, because the business of medicine has superseded care leading to pricing failures and waste.
